Job Description

We are a fast-growing, internationally minded organic food e-commerce company based in Nagoya, Japan. We work with a multicultural team to bring high-quality products to customers across Japan.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

You’ll join our 15+ person office team in Nagoya and play a key support role across two major areas:

1. Office IT / Ecommerce Ops (Primary Focus) : You’ll handle day-to-day IT needs in a dynamic office environment—setting up PCs, troubleshooting staff tech issues, and assisting with company equipment like networking gear, NAS, switches, printers, and security cameras. You'll also be setting up new applications and helping with projects to improve our e-commerce website.
2. English Operations (Major Ongoing Responsibility) : You’ll help maintain and improve our English-facing operations: English email support, English product pages, English announcements, and upkeep of our English website. A big part of succeeding in this role is understanding the preferences and expectations of English-speaking customers/foreign residents.

If you bring extra skills we can actively use, those can be compensated accordingly.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Office IT (Primary)

• Set up and maintain office PCs (Windows/Mac), user accounts, software installs, printer setup, security
• Troubleshoot PC/equipment issues (Wi-Fi, printers, email/app issues, cables, peripherals)
• Support basic networking tasks and equipment upkeep (routers, switches, access points, firewalls)
• Creating and maintaining contingency plans and backups
• Shopify theme upgrades and app installs/maintenance
• Collection and reporting of data
• Help us stay in the loop and ahead of the game as an online business

2) English Operations (Significant Daily Work)

• English customer email support and communication (order/shipping related)
• Create/edit and maintain English product pages, announcements, and website content
• Ensure English copies sound natural and culturally appropriate for English-speaking customers
• Improve clarity and tone across English-facing materials (web, emails, notices)

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• IT experience and skills
• Excel experience
• Basic understanding of HTML / CSS
• Spoken and written English ability
• Ability to communicate in Japanese effectively
• Understanding of AI and how to utilize it
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience with Windows PCs

• Advanced IT skills
• Strong mathematics and ability to analyze data
• Japanese N1 Level
• Experience with both Windows and Mac
• Programming experience
• Experience with e-commerce operations / product listings
• Interest in organic food industry
• Photoshop/Illustrator experience
