Job Summary

In our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department you will be responsible for managing safety related to electrical equipment and construction projects. This role ensures compliance with legal requirements develops and implements internal standards and conducts risk assessments to safeguard employee safety and maintain equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage safety for construction projects
• Develop maintain and improve safety standards for electrical equipment and systems
• Conduct electrical safety risk assessments and drive corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act Electrical Business Act)
• Perform on-site safety audits inspections and analyze incidents/near-misses to establish preventive measures
• Plan and deliver electrical safety education and training for employees
• Participate in safety evaluations and approval processes for new equipment installations
• Align with global EHS standards and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience in electrical safety management (preferably in manufacturing plant or industrial settings)
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health laws and electrical regulations
• Practical experience in risk assessment incident investigation and corrective actions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• (Preferred) Licensed Electrical Chief Engineer EHS-related certifications (e.g. ISO45001 Internal Auditor)
